Returning to Hmong Nouveau Fashion Show & Concert 2022 is the multi-talented, Brandon Yang, from Fresno California.

Brandon Yang started designing back in the fall of 2011 from Youtube videos. Fashion design has always been a passion of his, but Fresno did not offer any programs in design. With determination, he taught himself how to sew and took 2 days to learn patternmaking.

He graduated from CSU, Fresno with his B.A. in Fashion Merchandising. Some of Yang’s fashion shows include the Revive Hmong Fashion Show in Fresno, Fresno State’s Fashion Inc., San Francisco Modern Ethnic, and was previously in the last Hmong Nouveau fashion show.

Dance

Yang is currently the Dance teacher and Hmong Dance Artistic Director at McLane High School, Fresno Unified School District. He has been teaching dance since spring, 2015. Along with his educational background, Yang is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Dance- Creative Practice from Saint Mary’s College of California and working on his Single Subject Credential- Dance from CSU, East Bay.

In Yang’s professional training and industry experiences as an actor, dancer, model, and singer, he has been in local commercials, such as the Chukchansi Dance Commercial, Robertito’s Taco Shop, and Brandman University to name a few. Yang has also been a featured dancer on ABC Family “Pretty Little Liars” and Nickelodeon’s “The Thundermans”. Some of Yang’s dance training in Jazz Funk and Hip Hop has also been in The Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan, New York City, where current Broadway dancers teach.
